The other day I felt like was I suppose to take a picture of this plant. Didn’t know exactly why but I knew the Lord had to tell me something with it.
Well today, I had the worst headache (still somewhat lingering) so I took a little nap to help it. I fell into a deep sleep and had some dreams and wrote them down. I woke up. And the boys told me one of them decided to dump this red marker liquid into my 2 plants I have sitting on the window seal that grows basil and mint.
The other day they were drying out and looked wilted. The boys have been watering it but it kept producing these spotted leaves that didn’t look healthy. So now that it had red dye marker in it, how much more is it unhealthy so I finally decided to cut all the growth off the plant. It had quite a lot. But it was not producing healthy growth. Being that these are herbs we eat I haven’t been wanting to eat them as they haven’t been fresh. So I finally cut off all the dead plants and decided to start from scratch. It’ll take longer, but it will produce a fresh edible harvest.
Well, what about the red dye?
I have to wash it out. It’s going to take time because it got down to the roots. But once its gets completely washed out and can begin producing fresh harvest again, it will produce twice as much that can actually be eaten.
Then I heard in my Spirit, that “this is what God is doing with his people. We have to cut out the growth that looks like plenty but it has been producing spotted un-edible harvest. Once we cut it out, it will look like nothing remains, but overtime as the Lord purifies the soil and the roots, it will begin to produce again, this time a much greater harvest which it’ll be a healthy harvest, one that can be eaten and nurture our bodies. Producing thirty, sixty, Or even a hundred times greater then what’s been planted.”
Matthew 13:23 NLT [23] The seed that fell on good soil represents those who truly hear and understand God’s word and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted!”
Written on Facebook August 23, 2025
The soil is getting cleaner… but now the red has made its way into the actual plant itself.
This is what’s happening with the bride of Christ.
I shared this on Facebook on August 13, 2025 but figured I should log it here as well.
I had a prophetic dream that was from the Lord. I heard a resounding loud alarm going off over the cities.
🚨Sounding the Alarm🚨
The Lord has brought some clarity to me on the words and dreams he has been giving me over these last few weeks and I feel lead by the Holy Spirit living in me to share what I believe he is speaking to the body of Christ as a whole.
“His children have been walking in mixture. They have been playing in uncleanliness and compromise. They have the Holy Spirit but they have allowed the demonic to bring confusion. They’ve allowed and entertained spirits that aren’t His Spirit. Their spiritual awareness has been murky and tainted. They thought it was the Lord’s discernment but the source was impure.
⚠️Check the source.⚠️
As I stepped outside of the mud I could hear and see clearly once again, recognizing where the source was coming from.
⚠️Which is impurity⚠️
• These are people who are not new believers, they’ve been saved for some time now. However, they’re also not fully mature believers, yet.
My spiritual senses were being dulled. But once I stepped outside of the mud I could hear the warning clearly and loudly.
• THERE ARE MANY still walking in the uncleanliness of impurity. Being hindered and dulled in their spiritual senses. The source is demonic and impure, DISGUISED in a sweet smelling fragrance.
It’s made it’s way into the structure and leadership of the churches.
🚨 The Lord is sounding the alarm to the believers walking in this path!!!! You still have time but not for long. Get off the wrong path! Get on the straight and pure path! Stop living in compromise. Listen to that still small voice that says “no, that’s not me. That’s not Jesus” no matter how good or sweet it sounds. It may seem like a great opportunity but the source is sewage!!!
➡️The source is IMPURE!⬅️
⚠️ Jesus is coming back for a pure bride. Church, its time to awaken and REPENT!!!⚠️
● Make room for HIS plans! His ways! Make room FOR the KING!!! FOR THE KING IS COMING BACK FOR A PURE BRIDE!
⚠️ There is still time to warn the new believers. There is still time to disciple the new believers. The NEW believers are in danger!!! They’re getting cast aside for the sake of our agenda!!! They’re in the path of destruction.
⚠️ We must be a pure bride!!! We can’t keep claiming grace and living in compromise.
The church has gotten really good at covering the more mature believers and discipling them. But the church is neglecting the new believers. It’s casting them aside on the sidelines.
● God is not pleased. ●
🚨 This is a warning to church leaders from the Lord.
There will be a great falling of leadership in the body of Christ in the form of church leadership.
⚠️ God is coming to bring judgement on these leaders and everyone. For they are held to a higher standard. They have been like pillars in the faith standing firm. But a time is coming that they will crumble under the hand of God’s judgment.
The intensity is strong because the coming is near.
○ But on the judgment day, fire will reveal what kind of work each builder has done. The fire will show if a person’s work has any value. ○ If the work survives, that builder will receive a reward. ○ But if the work is burned up, the builder will suffer great loss. The builder will be saved, but like someone barely escaping through a wall of flames. 1 Corinthians 3:13-15 NLT
Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned. 🔥 – John 15:6
🚨 Sound the Alarm 🚨 the time is now. Repent. Stop living in sin. Stop living in mixture. Stop living like the Pharisees celebrating their man made traditions and systems. Thinking that they have escaped the flames. They didn’t have ears to hear. They didn’t have eyes to see. As long as you walk on the path you are, you are heading toward destruction and following an impure spirit. You may barely escape the flames by the hem of your garment.
Jesus gave up his life for us, to make us pure, without spot or wrinkle. (Eph. 5:25-26)
The Lord highlighted these verses to me.
[21] Listen, you foolish and senseless people, with eyes that do not see and ears that do not hear.
[22] Have you no respect for me? Why don’t you tremble in my presence? I, the Lord, define the ocean’s sandy shoreline as an everlasting boundary that the waters cannot cross. The waves may toss and roar, but they can never pass the boundaries I set.
[23] But my people have stubborn and rebellious hearts. They have turned away and abandoned me.
[24] They do not say from the heart, ‘Let us live in awe of the Lord our God, for he gives us rain each spring and fall, assuring us of a harvest when the time is right.’
[25] Your wickedness has deprived you of these wonderful blessings. Your sin has robbed you of all these good things.
[31] the prophets give false prophecies, and the priests rule with an iron hand. Worse yet, my people like it that way! But what will you do when the end comes? Jeremiah 5:21-25, 31 NLT
[3] Lord, you are searching for honesty. You struck your people, but they paid no attention. You crushed them, but they refused to be corrected. They are determined, with faces set like stone; they have refused to repent.
[4] Then I said, “But what can we expect from the poor? They are ignorant. They don’t know the ways of the Lord. They don’t understand God’s laws.
[5] So I will go and speak to their leaders. Surely they know the ways of the Lord and understand God’s laws.” But the leaders, too, as one man, had thrown off God’s yoke and broken his chains.
[6] So now a lion from the forest will attack them; a wolf from the desert will pounce on them. A leopard will lurk near their towns, tearing apart any who dare to venture out. For their rebellion is great, and their sins are many. Jeremiah 5:3-6 NLT
[1] “Run up and down every street in Jerusalem,” says the Lord. “Look high and low; search throughout the city! If you can find even one just and honest person, I will not destroy the city.
[2] But even when they are under oath, saying, ‘As surely as the Lord lives,’ they are still telling lies!” Jeremiah 5:1-2 NLT
Idols aren’t only graven images. They’re whatever causes you to obey them and not GOD.
Matthew 4:17 NLT From then on Jesus began to preach, “Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.”
I will leave you with this.
⚠️1 Peter 4:17 NKJV For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?⚠️
I woke up this morning. I had a dream that I believe represented people in the body of Christ.
As I prayed on the dream this morning and wrote down a specific word that the Lord gave me at 2am. The word “calcified”, to be honest I had to look up what the meaning of the word meant.
Calcified Definition:
Hardened by deposition of or conversion into calcium…
THE DREAM: It was suppose to be a beautiful woman. But instead this women was 2/3’s calcified. Her skin was frail and peeling. She was so white and sickly, even her left eye was calcified. The remaining third of her was still flesh. Her name represented PURE. It was suppose to be the PURE Bride. But she was calcified!!! She was so hardened. And when she spoke, she said she didn’t want to go back to church. I woke up from the dream and the Lord spoke the word “Calcified” to me. I wrote it down in my phone and went back to sleep. This morning as I sit with the Lord, I am hearing him so clearly.
● 2/3’s of the Bride of Christ is calcified. It has hardened itself to the church. It’s flesh is literally rotting and peeling. It is so SICK and needs the healer. It needs JESUS! It’s been so wounded by the body of Christ that they don’t even want to be a part of CHURCH anymore.
⚠️The church must repent to God, yes, but not stop there.
They must GO to those whom they either offeneded or hold offense to.
➡️ Repent to THEM so that they may forgive you and be forgiven. So that they may be healed!!! So that you may be healed! So that the bride can be whole again.
This is when healing will take place and restoring the body that has been calcified.
John 20:23 NLT [23] If you forgive anyone’s sins, they are forgiven. If you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”
Proverbs 14:30 NLT [30] A peaceful heart leads to a healthy body; jealousy is like cancer in the bones.
Matthew 6:14-15 NLT [14] “If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. [15] But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.
Matthew 18:15 NLT [15] “If another believer sins against you, go privately and point out the offense. If the other person listens and confesses it, you have won that person back.
Mark 11:25 NLT [25] But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too.”
Oh JESUS!!!! My heart breaks for what breaks yours!!! Restore your bride!!! Heal your bride!!! Move on peoples hearts to walk in love and forgiveness!!!
For some reason the Lord is bringing up things in my spirit that I wrote years ago to share with others. Maybe it will bless them…

Scabs and Scars
The Lord wants to give you a responsive heart. He is cutting away the dead and bringing to life things in you that he put in you that has been long hidden away by the dead things that no longer are sustaining you. Allow and trust him in this process.
And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. Ezekiel 36:26 NLT
As I was worshipping Jesus the other night, the Lord graciously reminded me of a word that he spoke to me 3 years prior. “God does not just mend the broken hearted but he gives us a new heart.” I heard him speaking to my spirit the words “scars and scabs”, you see everyone has them. Whether it be physical scars or emotional scars. We all have them.
When I reflect on my past, it’s like reopening old wounds by picking at a scab. It feels as though I’m reopening all the pain and hurt from before. The Holy spirit spoke to me, “NO MARY. I don’t leave scabs or scars. I heal, as in made completely new.” He throws the old completely out. He makes us a new creation in Christ Jesus. The only reason we have scars is because on earth we allow ourselves to have them by never surrendering it all to him and no longer thinking on it. A scar differs from a scab in that once healed, it no longer causes pain.
Where as a scab remains in pain. A scab is still in the process of healing and can be easily hurt or reopened with pressure. Once fully healed, a scar serves as a reminder of past events without causing any pain. It leaves a mark. When we go through life and have pain, physical or emotional pain, we go through a healing process. The duration of this healing process can vary significantly, depending on the depth of the wound. The good news is, there’s a way to experience accelerated healing without any scabs or scars. A healing that allows you to move forward without constant reminders of the past. There is a solution. There is an answer, His name is Jesus Christ.
You don’t have to revisit the old pain or the person you used to be. You can leave behind those reminders of your past pain and move forward. You can live in total and complete freedom in Jesus! One moment in God’s presence can make you whole and healed. He will transform you from the inside out. Don’t waste any more time, and let the transformation happen within you through His precious healing touch. Embrace the new heart you’re being given. You’re no longer defined by being broken, wounded, or scared; you’re made new. That is what the bible speaks of when it says to be born again!
[5] Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit. [6] Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life. [7] So don’t be surprised when I say, ‘You must be born again.’ John 3:5-7 NLT
In Christ Jesus you can be BORN AGAIN & SPIRIT FILLED! Receive the Holy Spirit, repent of your sins. Ask Jesus to fill you with his Spirit. Believe in Him that he died and rose again 3 days later to bare our sins. He did this so we can live freely for Him. We get to dedicate our lives to him and serve him as our Lord and Master. In doing this, we are given a new heart, His Spirit, and our sins are forgiven. We are reborn, born Again!
Hey there! Thanks for checking out my page. I am a homeschooling mama of 4 boys. My oldest will be entering 6th grade, my next is entering 4th, my middle youngest is entering Kindergarten and my last son is entering potty training.
I’ll keep my writing post short as most people rather jump to the actual resources. I will be sharing some of my advice and resources I have found useful through my years of homeschooling on my page, as well of some resources I’ve created myself or put together. I created a homeschooling planner to meet our family’s needs as well as putting some of my favorite resources for PreK and Kindergarten.
YOU CAN DOWNLOAD A ● FREE HOMESCHOOL PLANNER ● PDF I MADE AT THE STORE LINK:
There is a lot of great resources out there. Between Teachers pay teachers, canva, Etsy, and googling free printable for preK and Kindergarten, it can be awesome and overwhelming.
I have learned that doing less worksheets at the younger ages will actually achieve more. I put a few different styles on here in hopes you choose the best one or two fits for your little learner, but unless your child is asking for more worksheets, I encourage you to spend more time counting their toys with them, showing them the colors of things thru books and everyday life, and spending a little time with a letter for an entire week before moving onto a new letter. The sound that the letter makes may or may not come to your little learners easily so don’t stress it, usually by the age of 7 years old your child will begin to learn to identify the alphebet letters and it’s sounds fairly well.
Spend lots of time engaging with your little and read aloud to them. Spend more time teaching them and having them as your helper then sitting at a desk doing work sheets.
These Work sheets are just a few I have found helpful. When they are in PreK and only 4 years old or a young 5, then I personally have them trace the Large Font of ONE Letter and/or ONE Number a day every day for one week. Talking about the same number and letter every day of that week and pointing it out in books I read aloud to the child. We spend time going over the sound of the Letter and the names of that Letter and Number. We spend our time saying this apple starts with our Letter A that says ă ă ă. Then we do a color that week. Red, our color is Red. I may introduce a shape that week as well. (Keeping it very simple shapes) Triangle, Circle, Square, Star, and Retangle.
LA/Reading:
For teaching Kindergarten I have found that All About Reading is the way to go for Language Arts up until the 4th Level is completed. You don’t need busy work for your littles, you just need to teach them how to read. I haven’t tried all about spelling yet but I’ve read that it’s good to introduce after you’ve completed the AAR level 2. I honestly over complicated my children’s education where we used AAR for reading, another curriculum for LA and another for spelling on top of writing. After I completed AAR level 4 with two of my children I learned that it was majorly overkill what I did and no wonder my boys hated school lol. I was informed by a private school covering that I use that simply using AAR alone was enough to be counted as Reading and LA and spelling up to the point of after level 2. Then they encouraged me to go thru the spelling on AAS so and that it didn’t need to be done every single day (like I was doing with ALL of our subjects!!) Now my plan is to do AAR with my two younger ones and once they complete level 2 I will slowly introduce AAS. And that IS their language arts program!!!
HANDWRITING:
I enjoy using the Good and the Beautiful handwriting books up until 4th grade. After 4th grade I feel that my children have learned handwriting well enough to stop doing it as a subject since their other subjects begin to require more hand written assignments. My goal is for my children to be able to read cursive to some extent and write in it to some extent. TGTB Handwriting curriculm introduces cursive in the 3rd level and more in the 4th level, which I find is enough for my children.
MATH
I have found and committed to using the Good and Beautiful Math. We have used K – 5th so far and love it. However, midway thru 5th we have broken lessons up and even crossed out some problems as it just was taking us wayyyy too long with my ADHD son.
SCIENCE
Honestly, I’ve bounced around a lot with science curriculums. In my opinion reading topics on science in books with pictures is the most fun for elementary. However, I was set on having a curriculum, so some I have used is TGTB, BJUPress, Abeka (2nd grade and younger), and homeschool journey academy (this is really my favorite as it has a faith based video teaching) with textbooks/consumable printables available too.
HISTORY
I can’t say that I have found a history that I truly love for elementary. I would say out of all that I’ve tried (and I’ve looked into many and tried all good share) I like Not Grass Star Spangled Banner for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. I have learned that history before 3rd grade is pointless. Social Studies/Geography is better for teaching communities and cultures etc. Which honestly good library books can introduce that thru fun picture stories. I remember introducing president’s to my boys before 3rd grade and they didn’t retain anything. 🙈 So I have found doing a simple style of history and keeping it easier levels keeps them more engaged. I would say 5th grade and up I have enjoyed using Drive Thru History Adventures. (You can go online and order the dvds on amazon or purchase the streaming versions with the homeschool printable worksheets on the actual website.) I don’t personally use the work sheets as I don’t think it’s necessary until high-school. But that’s my personal opinion in which you may find a different one for your own families needs.
I do like masterbooks geography course and how they have little passport books which is cute. Yet again, as someone who seems to over do it, I thought at the time they needed MORE. Now looking back, I see I added way to much on them and will be more relaxed on the younger two entering elementary years. And I’ve definitely made some changes for my older two moving forward.
If you’re new to homeschooling fear not, you will find what works for you and your children. It takes time learning the learning style of your children but also learning your teaching style. I have found I enjoy adding stuff to curriculums so I just need a simple base that teaches the important stuff like Math and Reading. As I end up doing a lot of extras and like to somewhat expand on things.
⚫️ For this coming year I have found we will be using this:
🔜6th Graderwill be using;
MATH; TGTB Math 6. Possibly carrying over from level 5 if we dont finish as planned.
LA/SPELLING; BJUPress LA 4 and Spelling 5 as thats where he is at in that particular curriculum but we have found the video teachers very helpful for him.
READING; He reads books he enjoys, right now he has been enjoying the Hardy Boys Series. Occasionally writes a book report on them and often narrates what he just read back to me for showing me comprehension.
HISTORY: We will be watching it once a week, Drive thru History Acient Civilations. Then will likely do a fun project based on what he is learning.
SCIENCE; We may do some TGTB units or even do some generation genius science experiements. I haven’t decided but already own a lot of science curriculums so will likely just pull from my curriculms I have. I may even do fun printables from the acient civilations /Geography/cultures and incorporate some science from those areas. We shall see. We will do this 2x a week. I ALSO, bought the Elementary Science Biology from Homeschool Journey Academy so I may use that or wait and use it for my younger two. He may even do a combination of science with his 4th grader brother.
HEALTH; Sexual Repoduction from the Good and the Beautiful Curriculum. (Once a week).
SOME YEARS WE’VE DONE SCIENCE ONE SEMESTER AND HISTORY ONE SEMESTER.
This year we are trying to stick to our 4 day textbook school week. With doing LA, Spelling, Reading and Math every day. And doing history/science/health once a day (science 2x a week, the others once a week). Still keeping only 5 subjects a day.
We read the Bible and I will start logging it with my homeschooling umbrella school I’m under but I won’t call it school for my kids as I don’t want them to resent the bible as they often do resent school.
⚫️ My 4th grader wants to try all his subjects with BJUpress this time around with the video teacher (except hand writing) so we shall see how he likes that lol.
Jeremiah 18:3-10 NLT [3] So I did as he told me and found the potter working at his wheel. [4] But the jar he was making did not turn out as he had hoped, so he crushed it into a lump of clay again and started over. [5] Then the Lord gave me this message: [6] “O Israel, can I not do to you as this potter has done to his clay? As the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand.
– My heart’s desire is that the Lord strips away the parts of me that are my flesh, (my desires of sinful nature) and mold me into the person he desires me to become. This is what surrenderence looks like. Submitting our lives over to the kneeding of our Maker. Where we say, “Here I am Lord, do with me as you may!” Then he forms us as he see’s fits. For he knows the true motives of our hearts!!! –
[7] If I announce that a certain nation or kingdom is to be uprooted, torn down, and destroyed, [8] but then that nation renounces its evil ways, I will not destroy it as I had planned. [9] And if I announce that I will plant and build up a certain nation or kingdom, [10] but then that nation turns to evil and refuses to obey me, I will not bless it as I said I would.
– The Lord is looking for humble, submissive, and obedient children. He wants us to be strong IN him, he wants us to ABIDE IN HIM. He wants us to succeed THRU Him! He wants to build HIS kingdom thru US. He wants to have willing and usuable vessles! He doesn’t want us telling HIM what HE should do. He wants us to take HIS WORDS and DECLARE it! We do have authority, but it’s only BY HIS SPIRIT and THRU HIS NAME Jesus! We have a job to do and it’s to examine our hearts and keep it pure! Be the PURE BRIDE of Christ with our oil lanterns FULL.
Jeremiah 17:9-10 NLT [9] “The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is? [10] But I, the Lord, search all hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve.”
– He knows whether what we do on the outside relfects our motives of our hearts or whether it is out of a place of selfish ambition. LORD, I ask that you strip away all selfishness in me and use me to carry out your plan, will, and ways!!!
1 Corinthians 12:14 WEBUS [14] For the body is not one member, but many.
People love to say “we are the church” and yes we are, but we are not meant to be alone. For the body of Christ is not one singular person but many members! We were given these gifts to HELP each other (1Corinthians 12:7) so if we wander off, thinking we are fine being alone and “being the church” we are in error! Everything in scripture talks about iron sharpening iron, if one falls the other helps them up, 3 cored strand is not easily broken. To not forsake the gathering of the saints!
STOP TALKING ABOUT WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE CHURCH! THAT IS THE BRIDE OF CHRIST! YOU WITHOUT SIN CAST THE FIRST STONE!
Get the log out of your own eye before trying to get a speck out of someone else’s.
Making generic statements about “the church” is NOT edifying the body! We have power of life and death in our tongue! We need to speak to edify the body not belittle it!
I am guilty of this!
Lord I repent! Forgive me for the idle words I have spoken about your bride! Help me to remember to PRAY and intercede for our local bodies rather then walk in pride & with a critical spirit!!
Instead of being frustrated with how the church is, as a whole, find one that has most of the same beliefs as you and see how your passion for the move of God may stir the passion in others as well!
Paul was being transported as a prisoner even though he was about to be set free.
Paul warns of bad weather, (hurricane season) to stop sailing but the crew didn’t listen to him. He warned them of there being possible
1. Shipwreck
Losing of Cargo
Losing of lives
They set sail anyways ignoring his warning. Remember he was just “a prisoner”.
An angel appeared to him letting him know that no lives will be lost in this storm but the boat and cargo will be lost. The angel also told him that they’ll shipwreck on an island.
Acts 27:29
Points out that the crew was “Afraid so they tried to abandon ship” even though God promised safety to them.
Point #1. When things look SCARY but the Lord gave you a promise, don’t look to the circumstances but hold tight to the promise, be obedient even if afraid.
The sailors were going to abandon ship and get on the lifeboat that was much smaller, thinking it was a better option.
Point #2. When things in life/circumstances look scary, don’t settle for something that “looks” like the only option to safety, stand on God’s promise, because that “lifeboat” (safe option) may infact be the very boat that takes out your life.
Paul told them not to go on it, that they will surely die. They needed to ride out the storm in the ship that God promised them safety in.
When it was the right time, they were instructed to JUMP out of the boat and swim to safety, leaving everything behind in the crashing waves as the ship sank.
Point #3 There IS a time to take that leap of Faith in our obedience, and when we do, it will look scary. But in God’s perfect timing, we are to take that leap, but then we have work to do, we have to SWIM. We aren’t to jump in and sink or float. We are to swim to the island, swim to the land of safety that the Lord promised us.
As I read this chapter the Lord really highlighted these things to me.
Stand on God’s Promises – despite circumstances.
Don’t settle for what looks safe or comfortable. The enemy is a deceiver!
There is a time to act, and in that perfect timing we are to be quick to listen and obey the Lord’s leading, and work hard. We will reap the safety – blessing of it.
This is such a strong example that faith isn’t believing nothing bad will happen to you. It’s believing that we serve a God who is loving and cares for us. Who will protect us through trials and even if we have to go through the trials we will not be alone. This was my belief during the beginning of covid outbreak back in 2020. I believed that no weapon formed against our household would prosper. I believed that we wouldn’t get covid. But I also said, but even if we did, I believe the Lord will see us through it. I had such strong faith during that season. That year. Is every year and season such a strong level of faith in my big God? Not necessarily. I too struggle with fear at times, but one thing I know is that my heavenly Father is a good and loving one. He is with me no matter what I face. There was other circumstances in the past that I prayed for, believed for, and had faith for, but in my prayer I would tell the Lord even if he doesn’t change the circumstances, even if things didn’t go my way, I would still serve him. I would never blame him. I pray for his will to be done and not mine. I would declare his word over the situation. I would speak life. Faith is more then just never speaking negatively, it’s believing in the one true God and trusting your life into his hands, no matter what the outcome is!
Daniel 3:16-18 NLT says,
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego replied, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us. He will rescue us from your power, Your Majesty. But even if he doesn’t, we want to make it clear to you, Your Majesty, that we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up.”
Child birth and recovery can look different for every mother and it can be different with every birth. Here is my recent experience with baby boy #4 that I don’t remember experiencing with my others.
Baby blues. I’ve heard of post Parfums depression before, I even experienced it to some degree with my first child. But I never heard of baby blues until the hospital with my 4th son. They briefly mentioned it and gave me a booklet with info to take home. I actually read this very helpful post child birth care book (more like a large panflit) and it was extremely informative. What is baby blues? Well apparently it differs from ppd with the timing of it. It often sets in on the 3rd or 4th day (4th day for me once I got home from the hospital) where all of a sudden I started experiencing weepiness. Like not a tearful moment but boohoo weeping for what felt like no reason at all. It also shouldn’t last more then a week of two. It’s your hormones adjusting. I loved my baby, I loved my other children. I wasn’t even overwhelmed. I just would have sudden moments of weepiness and sadness come over me. I wasn’t alone but I felt lonely. It didn’t help that I am also a physical touch person and well my husband was trying to give me space to heal but what I really needed was extra touch, hugs, affection. Mind you I had my 4th csection so my husband was trying to be respectful to my recovery and not be too much to me. I didn’t communicate I was going thru this for 2 days. So now im 6 days post birth, and 2 days of weepiness. I told my husband I needed more affection and I was all over the place with emotions. He listened and tried to help. But it wasn’t til I told him how much I was crying and was real about how sad I was. He then encouraged me and prayed with me. He started to increase my hugs (so needed for me) and be more intentional with checking how I was doing and not being left alone so much. I understand how hard it is for husband’s who aren’t experiencing physical healing to their bodies to just stay home and help out with the kids and just “be there” but husband’s, that’s so necessary to your wife’s healing. Emotionally and physically. Its not the time to do big home projects or be doing outdoor chores. It’s the time to sit on the couch with your wife and talk to her, hold her, hold the baby, tend to the hungry, thirsty, and messy older siblings. It’s the time to see a mess and clean it up so mom doesn’t have to look at what she can’t clean up herself because she is healing. It’s the time to just be there for your family. Even if you’re bored scrolling on your phone or watching TV. It’s the time to change the diaper of the toddler without your wife having to ask you. It’s not the time to make a bunch of commitments to events and other people. It’s the time to simply “be there”. Your wife may say she is fine, and she may be fine, but she will be great if she knows you’re choosing to set aside your agenda and plans to just be there for her and your family. Show her that you care. If you can set aside time to minister to a friend in the middle of your work day, you can set aside time to take her to her and babies Dr. Appointments.
If you know me, you know that I homeschool our children. We are blessed to be having our 4th boy in the end of July 2022!
With boys comes all things boyish, and dinosaurs are one of those things that fascinate them! I do a variety of homeschool curriculum per child, as I find one curriculum doesn’t seem to serve every child nor does it serve every subject to every child well. We do need to mix it up every now and again and we decided to use Gatherround Curriculum by Rebecca Spooner. We are using the Dinosaur unit. After looking at it, I feel as though there is a lot of good in it, I don’t personally feel that it is enough to be the curriculum as a whole. In order to meet where my children are at. So we decided to do it on our “fun fridays” as our schooling and we add reading (all about reading) and math (the good and the beautiful). This is what I’m doing for my second grader. My kindergartener isn’t as into that style of learning as he instead loves doing abeka and coloring (where as my oldest son didn’t like to color at that age nor did he enjoy abeka!) So we are doing the fun aspects of the dinosaur unit for him. It’s important to remember that every child is different. They learn differently and they enjoy doing things differently. My oldest loved and currently loves free hand drawing, cutting, and only coloring his creations. My second son loves coloring already drawn pictures, and trying to get him to try to draw is like pulling teeth. He doesn’t enjoy cutting. And he rather sit and have me read to him and him to I.
Anyways, all that said to say here is lesson 1, day 1 of our dinosaur unit study from Gatherround.
It was a good day but honestly I found it more work and exhausting doing school this way! Lol
