Clothed in Robes

I had this imagery come to my mind last night.

I saw a crowd of people walking in the same direction all dressed in white. I felt like the Holy Spirit was speaking to me that we believers are all clothed in robes of righteousness and the way we see other believers should be thru the lens of them also being dressed in robes of righteousness.

When we see others without spot or blemish, we can walk in the same direction as them and be united in purity. Then I had this thought that the outside layer of the coat was perfect white but it was lined on the inside with red. The red symbolizes the blood of Jesus.

When we put on righteousness we are covered in the blood of Christ and put on perfect spotless righteousness. We put on purity. We walk in righteousness and his blood covers the multitude of our sins. We are all then walking in the spotless lamb of God.

This scripture came to my heart.

Isaiah 61:10 NLT
I am overwhelmed with joy in the Lord my God! For he has dressed me with the clothing of salvation and draped me in a robe of righteousness. I am like a bridegroom dressed for his wedding or a bride with her jewels.

If we start seeing others thru the lens of righteousness, right standing in purity before the father, we will stop speaking and thinking critically. We will be able to stop being negative and having judgemental views of others. We will begin to love others, truly love them. We will begin to have an abundance of grace for others and their mistakes, starting with having grace for ourselves. We all have fallen short. We all have sinned. We all have caused hurt and offense to a fellow believer. We all have regret, but we can’t hold onto it, we release it to the Lord. We must be quick to repent to one another, make amends with anyone we are holding anything against. Be at peace with all. They may not be at peace with us, but we have to be at peace with all, within ourselves.

Let’s begin to see others with the eyes Jesus see’s them, without spot or blemish, deeply loved.
